During CPHI China 2026, HySum engaged with global partners to discuss the evolving trends of pharmaceutical packaging, with a focus on high-barrier packaging, patient-centric packaging, and sustainable material innovation. From conventional pharmaceutical packaging materials to recyclable packaging solutions, and from intelligent manufacturing to green development, HySum continues to drive the transition of packaging from “protecting medicines” to “creating value”.
From June 16 to 18, CPHI China 2026 was held at the Shanghai New International Expo Centre. During the exhibition, HySum had in-depth exchanges with global pharmaceutical companies, pharmaceutical packaging partners, material suppliers, and industry professionals, jointly exploring new trends, emerging demands, and future possibilities in pharmaceutical packaging.

In recent years, with the rapid development of innovative drugs, global pharmaceutical exports, and patient-friendly medicines, packaging is no longer viewed merely as a protective container. It is becoming an important part of the pharmaceutical value chain. From ensuring drug stability and extending shelf life, to improving patient experience and supporting sustainable development, the industry is placing higher requirements on pharmaceutical primary packaging, barrier performance, safety, compliance, and environmental responsibility.
In response to these market trends, HySum presented a diversified portfolio of packaging solutions covering a wide range of pharmaceutical dosage forms and applications. Core products such as Cold Form Foil, Tropical Blister Foil, PTP Aluminum Foil, Aclar®/PVC, and PVC/PVDC continued to draw strong attention, while innovative solutions including easy-peel packaging, recyclable packaging materials, high-barrier flexible packaging, and sustainable mono-material structures also attracted extensive discussion among visitors. With more than 20 years of experience in high-barrier pharmaceutical packaging materials and recyclable materials, HySum remains committed to making packaging not only protect medicines, but also create greater value.

At the exhibition, HySum also integrated green concepts into booth design and visitor experience. The reusable catering cart, automatic coffee machine, and open communication area helped reduce disposable material waste while reflecting how intelligent, automated, and digital technologies are becoming part of every stage of industrial development. From smart factories and unmanned equipment to digital management and green manufacturing, the pharmaceutical packaging industry is moving toward a more efficient, intelligent, and sustainable future.
From high-barrier protection to sustainability, and from safeguarding medicines to enabling industrial upgrading, pharmaceutical packaging is being redefined. Looking ahead, HySum will continue to uphold its mission of providing better packaging for quality products. Driven by material innovation and advanced packaging technology, HySum will provide global customers with safer, more efficient, and more sustainable pharmaceutical packaging solutions, and work together with industry partners to promote the high-quality development of the global pharmaceutical packaging industry.
